I had a bit of a mishap because I left the books that PJ and I usually work out of at home. NEVER forget materials!!! I felt so irresponsible. Luckily, PJ had
some of his current text books in his bag so we worked on a reading out of
those books instead. I was also informed today about PJ’s increased homework
load. We may have to devote some of our tutoring time to his homework in the
future which I do not mind. The sessions are for PJ’s benefit and if he needs
to help with homework than I don’t see why I shouldn’t help. Honestly, I need
to work on my ability to help with homework. I find it hard to know when I need
to pull back and let the student work on their own. I refuse to give them
answers. I just worry that I might confuse PJ in the process of trying to point
him in the right direction.
