This session was a little tough with Andy.  His little brother was sitting in the table next to us with his father and I was having a little bit of trouble obtaining Andy's attention in the beginning.  But, we managed to read 5 books that we picked out together in the public library.  My main focus on this day was to keep asking him to predict what is about to happen next in the story.  He was very good at this. He was able to tell me what the main characters were about to do and he seemed very excited.  I am also very happy because he remembered the meaning of the word I taught him the week before.  I asked him, "Andy, what does the word 'afraid; mean again?" and he said "to be scared".  It was breakthrough for me, because I was so happy to know that he is listening and responding positively to what I am teaching him in each session.
