I met up with Keunhwa on Wednesday at Books-a-million. We bought some coffee and then sat down and began talking. We discussed the familiarity between French and South Korean school systems. They both have an hour for lunch in which they all eat the cafeteria food, even the teachers. The food that is served, is much healthier than the food served in American schools. We talked about different wages that teachers make in South Korea and also the benefits they get. For example in South Korea they get more paid time for maternity leave. All in all, me and Keunhwa had a very nice discussion. I'm thrilled to keep learning interesting, cultural facts from her!
