Conversation Partner: Hyunji Song

I e-mailed Hyunji on Thursday evening and introduced myself. We ended up meeting up in person the next afternoon at Chilies on campus for lunch. She told me that she has heard a lot about Chilies, but never had the opportunity to go (she ended up loving it). We got along right away. She is from South Korea and she is aspiring to be an interior designer. She told me that she wants to do her masters here, but eventually wants to move to the mid-west to do her doctorates. She said that she really likes it here, but she is not use to such hot weather. I told her that the mid-west can get extremely cold, specially in Minnesota, and that maybe she would like it better there. But I also told her to keep her options open. I think she would really excel in whatever she does and wherever she goes. I told her to maybe consider Boston because they have very good universities and the weather is more to her liking. She told me about a trip she took to California and how she wasn't too fond of Los Angeles. I told her that I am not too keen on big cities and I told her about my life in Miami. We both discovered that we like the mountains and surrounding ourselves by more nature. She seems like a very dedicated student and I look forward to meeting up with her again.
