Group 2)/ Pronunciation
Feedback provided to tutor, Hannah: Before starting studying
English, we studied Korean. She brought her Korean study book published by
Sook-myoung Women’s University. She
likes it because it has a lot of opportunities to make real and communicative
sentences. I corrected her sentences
which had very small mistakes, so I was surprised by her job. After that, we hit the booklet about
pronunciation from Blackboard Content of Speaking. She explained how to pronounce consonants and
vowels and performed those sounds. She listened to my pronunciations carefully
and corrected them. She showed other
tongue twists on her phone.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutor, Hannah you learned: She told me
that when I spoke ‘world’ or ‘darling’ which have ‘r’ and ‘l’, I could put ‘h’ between them. That means /worhld/ or /darhling/. It worked. I could not have understood how to do it
without her.
She contacted the Korean agency and he said the
places to work in Seoul are not enough now, so she has to apply to Kyoung-ki
area or Busan. She has Korean friends in
Seoul and keeps touch with them until now, so she wants to get her job is
Seoul. I wish her good luck.
