Justin CO#1

On Wednesday September 16th I observed a grammar class. The professor was Sana McHarek and she was a great teacher. Her topic for the day was adverbs. She used the deductive approach and began by explaining what adverbs were and how they function. She provided a few sentences and then started explaining adverbs of manner and adverbs of frequency. She also used scaffolding with her students which I thought helped them. She showed real knowledge of the language even though it's her third language. At the end of class she had the students work in groups to work on exercises using adverbs. I enjoyed my time in the classroom and it showed me ways in which I can improve being a professor.
