Hannah TS #6
This past Friday I had the pleasure of working with Keunhwa again. Last week she told me about how she had issues with pronouncing certain sounds, so this week she brought in a workbook provided in the TEFL class. We began the session by reading through the different passages and reading off the example sentences and words. As she read the words, I would make sure to make note of words that had been mispronounced. I would underline them in the packet so if she had the chance to go through it again, she would be able to study those certain sounds. Halfway through the packet we came across a set of tongue twisters. Each tongue twister focused on a specific sound (ex. peter piper picked a peck of pickled peppers). Even though we use them for fun, these are also a good way to practice your pronunciation. Before going through the list, I pulled up a few other tongue twisters from the internet that I knew of growing up, and had her practice those as well.
