Do-jun had a very rough Thursday. A snafu with one of the aircrafts had led to the entire flight schedule being rewritten. We had had to delay our conversation thirty minutes because he had to stay late a work. Since I know almost nothing about air traffic work and he knows quite a great deal, I saw this as opportunity to let him talk while I asked questions instead of the other way around. I got a lot of incites into life in South Korea. Especially, when it came to discrediting or correcting stories we hear about Korea in the United States. We specifically talked about the tradition of eating dog meat. According to Do-jun, it is a delicacy and many people never eat it. Do-jun himself has never had it even though he has had it recommended to him by people. It seems that we exaggerate the most extreme traditions of other cultures not matter how little they are actually practiced.
