Frankie TS #10

I had my second session with Henrique this past Monday (Sep. 28). It was a little rushed as he seemed to be consumed with another mattering regarding his cellphone or some related issue. However, I feel we still had a productive meeting as he has been reading William Johnstone's Ambush of the Mountain Men. This particular story centers around a wild west narrative, and consequently is characterized by dialogue that is of that genre. This proved to be somewhat difficult for Henrique's level of mastery of English, as there were many contractions with which he was unfamiliar. Much of that session focused around understanding the function of an apostrophe, namely that of taking place of dropped words or letters. I feel we covered all of the confusion he had with the text.
