Feedback provided to tutor, Neila: I told her
that I found the good pizza place, called Brickyard Pizzeria. She asked me
about my local restaurant experiences. She recommended other good places for delicious
pizza, for instance, Gain street Pies, Midtown Pies, and Figure Four. I complained about goat cheese, because its
flavor was so strong and unique that I couldn’t eat it. On the contrary, she
loves it. I thought I didn’t like it
because I didn’t know how to cook with it like Korean miso paste. She informed
me songs for listening to English, which have clearer pronunciations and
catching melodies, so it’s easy to sing and remember. Then she corrected my
writings.
Lesson(s) about tutoring and/or the tutor,
Neila you learned: I believe that she has an excellent talent for tasting food. She taught me some unfamiliar vegetables,
such as figs and artichoke, and capicola ham. She explained a very useful thing, which was
even though the listener is so evident, I should write ‘me’ after tell. The
word, ‘tell’ needs someone to talk to, because its meaning is to communicate
with each other. If it has no indirect object, it means to disclose or reveal
something such as ‘It is wrong to tell a lie.’
