This tutoring session with Hye-jeong went really well. She has really bloomed and started to show her personality in the last three or four sessions. We followed the same general format of past sessions. First, I helped her study her vocabulary words. She got every single word correct, so I made sure to give her extra praise. We finished her homework, which involves both English and math. Once again, she got every answer right. Then we finished the chapter book we have been reading since the second or third tutoring session we had. She was very excited that we finally finished the book. I could really sense that she felt accomplished and proud of herself. After we read it, I asked her some questions and reviewed what "main idea" and "characters" mean. In addition to all of this, we did a worksheet and she picked a book from the library to read. We got a lot done during this session. One very cute thing happened at the end of the session though. She saw that I had a Korean language learning book in my bag, and she got excited. When her mom came to pick her up, she ran right up to her and told her about how I was learning Korean.
