Saturday I met with Nayun at the public library. Before the session, I went over a few things with her father, JK. I let him know that Nayun is very good at any of the written activities we have done. Spelling, word recognition, & reading are all accomplished with ease and quickness. The only thing she is missing right now is small verb agreement issues, and some other grammar related speaking issues. When I asked, "What did you do yesterday?" Her response was "I go to school." I corrected her and got her to repeat the word "went" a few times and then made her use it in the same sentence. This was most of the lesson. I would ask a prompt as many questions as I could and use her answers as a compass for what we should cover for next week. .
