Hammoud had taken the ISEL exam, which he explained to me is the British version of the TOEFL. He said he had done well on all the part except the writing. He plans on taking the exam again this weekend, so we went over some writing examples. I also helped him with organizing his thoughts into a quick outline rather than just immediately going into writing the paragraph. This has helped me in my writing exams in the past, and I hope it will help him. Hammoud has shown a good proficiency for learning English so far. He still needs practice speaking conversationally.
