Aviv and I met at Chick-Fil-A to enjoy some chicken sandwiches. We talked about the terrorism attacks that occurred in Israel. We also mentioned that the #2 ISIS commander was killed recently. Since TEFL is over, Aviv gets to work more hours for his landscaping job. This is really convenient because his job does not allow him to work half days so he gets paid more. I talked about how well my recent exams went earlier this day but a pen exploded in my pants and on my hands. This made my few moments of happiness die down. In addition, I ran into one of my economics club friends at Chick-Fil-A and told Aviv about one of our future speakers. For Halloween, Joab Corey is giving his talk on the Rational Ghost Theory, which states that even if ghosts do exist they wouldn't harm you since it is not in their best interest. We also talked about how corrupt and expensive American phone companies are for cell phone rates. He told me how much cheaper it is in Israel compared to the United States. He also told me about his weekend in Miami where he got more clothes from his Grandparents to bring to Tallahassee. He also demonstrated some interest in teaching abroad in the Czech Republic, which I found interesting. Overall, we talked about an array of different subjects and the conversation was very fast-paced and scintillating.
