I met with Sang Hyun on Monday. We met at Starbucks near campus. He had asked me to help him understand modal verbs. I printed out a pretty good chart that had all the uses for him, and we went over that as well as a few other finer points. We also talked about the American Civil War. I recommended some movies for him to watch. Sang Hyun also likes to take short day trips around the area, so I pointed out some places that are of historical significance. The best part about my sessions with Sang Hyun is that he his a very willing student. He really wants to be able to speak english fluently, and I think he is well on his way to accomplishing his goal.
