I met with Mario Fayad tonight at 9:30 pm. The session began with a brief review of prepositions with which Mario was still slightly struggling with. I see that he knows the concept, however, he just needs practice with the memorizing the vocab. I also realized, about 20 minutes into the lesson that the drills we were doing were growing redundant and so I asked Mario if he would like to listen to some songs and try to identify prepositions in the songs. So, for the remainder of the session we listened to different songs and talked about the context and about different parts of speech. Mario is fascinated with slang and colloquial language. I think that I will be arranging my next lesson plans to cater to this.
