Neila CP#4

On October 5th at 3pm I met with Keunhwa at LeRoy Library. In class, the topic of divorce rate in South Korea was brought up and also the discipline in South Korean school was mentioned. I asked Keunhwa about these topics and she explained to me why the divorce rate was high and also how the discipline in school has changed since then. Afterwards, she saw that my hair was put up and I explained to her the 2 different words we use. My hair was up in a bun and Keunhwa's was in a ponytail! She told me in Korean they call a bun "poop hair", this mad us laugh. We then talked about food and how they don't have many olives in South Korea, it's not a common food. She also said that the pickles they eat are most always sweet and every restaurant has their own recipe for pickles. I found our discussion very interesting and am looking forward to meeting with her again!
