This past Wednesday I met with Youngseo again. In order to prepare for our lesson, I went ahead and printed out a couple of word searches and pulled a couple books from the library. The word searches were related to both halloween and school. The halloween word search was at first grade level and she had no problem completing that one. However, the school word search was at a second grade level. Even though she found it difficult with a little coaching she was able to work through it. Afterwards, we practiced some of her spelling words and I was asked to explain why verbs get an s added to them at the end. When I asked her if she knew what that was she spouted off the answer. Even though she knew the rule, she still found it difficult when i gave her examples. Once we finished that, we read through the book "Would I Trade My Parents?" Once we finished that book we started reading through one of her fairy books. She since brought this book, she liked reading it a lot more.
