I had just met with Inhyeong for another wildly successful session. Today we briefly reviewed last session's material and I was pleasantly surprised to see just how much she had retained. She was able to explain to me what abstract and concrete concepts are and their correlatives, figurative and literal interpretations while reading. After this we had gone over some text messages that she had sent to me that contained some grammatical errors, as well as some that she wished me to go over with her. It was a perfect segue into the next part of the session which was covering the present perfect tense. I was able to elucidate the tense for her by providing a visual aid that diagrammed the duration of time which the present perfect tense covers on a timeline. After doing some examples she was able to create sentences with full mastery. For the final part of the session we went over modal auxiliaries, should, would, and have to. I feel that she apprehended the lesson with apparent ease and so we closed on a high note, looking forward to the next session.
