Before our tutoring session, I searched up several different
activities to do with Jun. Also last session, he asked me to tell him about
some of my army experience because he shared concerns about his future army
service in South Korea. To start off our session, I began by giving him
different topics. For each topic he has to provide different pros and cons. I
modeled the activity for him and then as the first topic I told him to provide
me with pros and cons about school uniforms. This helped with his vocabulary
and sentence structure. To move on, since I promised him I would tell him a
story from my army service, I did just that. I provided a story that was
appropriate for him. Once I finished the short story, I then asked him
comprehension questions and went over the vocabulary I used. All in all, we had
a great tutoring session and practice vocabulary skills, listening skills and
speaking skills.
