KellyMichael - TS#12

Saturday 10/10 I met with my child tutee Nayun at the public library. Nayun was sleepy when she got there, but seemed to brighten up once we sat down and got started. First we talked about the difference between the simple tenses. She tends to get the verb wrong when speaking in the past tense. She uses present tense for everything. I think Nayun is a visual learner, so I did a small diagram while we spoke. This kept her interested in what I was saying. When I used examples, I tried to make them a bit silly or humorous, which also seems to keep her engaged. I was very pleased to see she had taken the initiative to do worksheets on her own in the workbooks I gave her to take home. She is a very good student and its been a good experience for me.
