Nahid CO#1

Instructor: Sana
Date and time: September 9, 2015

Today I went to observe a class that was practicing reading.  They were Level 2 students and were being taught by Sana.  She started the class session by listing the day's agenda on the board.  They covered suffixes, went over homework, and read a book together.  They also had a class activity where the students had to pair up and fill in the blanks in a paragraph where suffixes are supposed to be.  She was very good at keeping the students engaged and kept calling on the students that seemed like they weren't paying much attention.  During the group activity, she walked around and monitored the students' interactions and checked if they were doing the assignment correctly.  The students also when over articles from FSU that listed current events and football games, September 11th, and the women's soccer team.  I like how she challenged the students and asked them what certain words meant and whether they were prefixes of suffixes. She was a good instructor and I liked how she handled the subject matter.
