Nahid and I met in front of the CEIS building and walked
to Strozier. It took only 5minutes to
get there. I was surprised to see a Starbucks coffee shop inside Strozier. The reason was that I could not see any logo
for the coffee shop in front of Strozier and in my country I could not have a similar
experience. I told her that having a
brand coffee shop on the first floor seemed to be unfair to other local coffee
shops. Even though there are several
brand coffee shops in a Korean university, they are outside a library. She said that it was convenient for students
especially in examination seasons. She volunteered to give some advice to teenagers in need and I was a middle school teacher for many years. She and I talked about how to treat teenager as a friend and adult. We agreed that forming rapport s vital. I felt adolescence is difficult everywhere.
