Keuhwa TS#2

Date/Time: Sep. 7(Mon)/ 02:45~03:30

Location: In front of Strozier

Topic/Skill: Reading aloud/ Speaking(pronunciation)

Feedback provided to tutor, Neila : She was reading aloud a little bit slowly.  Moreover, she showed her lips again and again when I came across some words that are hard for me to pronounce.  She provided me with an application for pronunciation.  Unfortunately, it did not work successfully.  Next time we can try other cool apps.

Lesson(s) about tutoring you learned: I brought 3 books : a kid’s chapter book, a magazine(Reader’s digest), an adult’s novel.  We started with a chapter book. First, I read aloud and then I repeated as she read aloud sentence by sentence.  She explained the intonation of a sentence.  She noticed I pronounced ‘wood’ unnaturally.  She demonstrated how to pronounce ‘wood’.  I became to realize that I should start with round and prominent lips when speaking ‘wood’.  I’ve been practicing pronouncing ‘wood’ correctly, but my classmate did not understand my pronunciation of ‘wood’ today.  I will test my pronunciation of ‘wood’ again.
