KellyMichael TS#2

This was a group tutoring session with two men from Kuwait. Scheduling was easy because they are cousins and live in the same apartment. Of course, just like my last tutoring session they forgot to fill out the needs assessment prior to our meeting. Once again I was flying blind into the situation, and did not have a way to prepare. Instead I packed all my reference books and materials I could find into my bag and hoped for the best.
What the tutees hoped to work on most, is their speaking ability. They both write well with the occasional grammar error. I reviewed some of the homework they had and was satisfied with their skills in writing. We moved on to a discussion of cultural norms in our respective countries regarding things like education, marriage, and career. I only needed to make corrections to their sentence composition a few times, which they appreciated.
The next tutoring session we have I will have had ample time to prepare dialoge, talking points, and questions so the conversation doesn't stop.
