Neila TS#3

Continuing into the second tutoring hour with Aviv, we moved onto writing skills. After reading the writing section in the book, I thought the best practice for him would be timed writing. I noticed that when Aviv writes, he pauses to translate words from Hebrew to English and also to look up the correct spelling of words. I asked him if he had any subject that he would be able to describe well in writing. He mentioned his army experience, so he began to write about his experience in Gaza Strip. He wrote for 15 minutes without pausing. I re-read his work, underlined beautiful mistakes, and thanked him for sharing his experience with me. The next time we meet for a tutoring session, he will bring his writing back with his edits. I am looking forward to helping him with his English fluency!
